†010 - {edit} grasping the remnants of summer

[ooc: sorry! had to redo the post because i didn't like it. xD]

[Standing out by the lake, Mihail keeps his hands in his jeans pockets, watching the water passively. Summer went by fast and that served to make him almost nostalgic for it, or for being home in the summer in general. Then again, he might not want to be home now, what with the Roma deportations from France. So, he's a little but pissed off, but true to his nature, he doesn't express it in any other way than standing very still.

The lake breeze is nice, and good for stress relief, but he's not sure what else to do. It's getting cold anyway, and summer activities are now incredibly limited. With a sigh, he kicks at a lone rock, watching it skip and tumble down into the wander with a quiet 'splish'. Kicking rocks is certainly better than raging at politics anyway.

So yes, there's a lone Bucharest outside, and company surely wouldn't bother him in the least.

May I ask but one question, Monsieur? I read the most interesting article today in the news, it was about the Taxation of Witches and Fortune Tellers (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5gjLZhDtWycV9SlX_L7grPC8VWa2AD9I4D33G0). Are you really that superstitious to the point that you allowed them to win such a court battle?
I do not mean to be rude or anything...it is just somewhat odd, I 'ave never 'eard of such a thing in my life.

[ooc: I just heard this on the news a couple of minutes ago. I thought it was a bit funny XD;;]

...Sort of. It's just a...

There's better things to tax, I think.

I see, thank you for clearing that up.
I was not interrupting your thoughts...was I?

[identity profile] cenusa-lumina.livejournal.com 2010-09-09 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, no.

[]

I was merely admiring the lake before everything changes over to autumn.

[identity profile] breizbleu.livejournal.com 2010-09-09 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah yes the lake, it is simply gorgeous.
Very different from what I am seeing at home. I am used to a shoreline and the English Channel. Big and extravagant...not a lake.

Do you dislike Autumn?

[identity profile] cenusa-lumina.livejournal.com 2010-09-09 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
My mother only has a portion of coastline, and I have just a river and a few ponds we like to call 'lakes'. This, however, is enjoyable.

And I wouldn't say I dislike it. It's not my favorite, as I don't like to think of the trees as dead, nor do I like when the temperature middles between warm and cold. Though, I do like winter for some reason.

[identity profile] breizbleu.livejournal.com 2010-09-09 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it is something, oui?

{He sighs, flicking ashes on the ground.}

Winter has a beauty to it that I 'ave yet to paint on a canvas. It's difficult to capture it...

[identity profile] breizbleu.livejournal.com 2010-09-10 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oui, I do.
It used to be my primary source of income. Seeing as people love my food more than my art; I own a bakery and make pastries for a living now.
Painting is a good way for me to wind down. It's therapeutic.

I try, every now and again. Architecture, sculpting... That's about all I can do. But it's certainly interesting that you can do it so well.

What kind of pastries?

[identity profile] breizbleu.livejournal.com 2010-09-10 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Sculpting is very nice, that is something I am not good at doing.

The kind of pastries I make are petti for (http://roses-and-teacups.com/DD/b_PKG.jpg), Éclairs (http://joepastry.com/pics/Eclairs.jpg), Macarons d'Amiens (http://www.la-recette-de-cuisine.com/main/files/44388532128afe4f2af9f5e1851af5fc.jpeg), Madeleine (http://whatscookingamerica.net/History/Cakes/Madelines.jpg), Pain aux raisins (http://www.tabledescalories.com/photos/aliments/707.jpg), Beignets (http://www.rachelleb.com/images/2006_11_cafe_du_monde_beignets.jpg), Croissants (http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2007/10/30/croissants_wideweb__470x312,0.jpg), and Croquembouche (http://www.bakedecoratecelebrate.com/images/projects/croquembouche/croquembouche.jpg). I also make a wide variety of breads as well.

[ooc: All the pastries mentioned, I have made them back when I was going to school for culinary arts. @_@]

{That looks good *v*}

I should make you some one day. It isn't like any of us are going anywhere.
